Department of infectious diseases of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital was formally established in January 2005. To a new department, it is divided into the out-patient hepatitis, intestinal tract clinic and fever clinic with reasonable layout. It possesses 14 observing beds, and sets up resuscitation room. the environment of the stay view room is comfortable, convenient, quiet, easy to patients’ rest and treatment, also to prevent cross infection. All the doctors are physician or resident staff for years who are rich in clinical experience. The nurses are with more than ten years work experience,some of who are nurse-in-charge.The nursing work is meticulous, in place,and humanized. Because of the excellent prevention and control of infectious disease, The department was repeatedly under the recognition and praisemany of the Beijing city and Xicheng District Health Bureau.
The department also undertake clinical teaching of Medical department of Peking University Health Science Center. And to participate in teaching activities of infectious diseases department of Peking University Health Science Center.
Department of infectious diseases, since its inception in, it attended and completed the work of "intestinal diarrhea patients with Norwalk Viruses detection" "intestinal diarrhea patients with Salmonella infection detection” of the Beijing Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Nearly 10 years,the doctors of this department have published 24 papers in the national core journals.
