Welcome to the division of nephrology in Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, which was established in 1970, enlisted a group of elite nephrologists, including 2 chief doctors, 1 vice chief doctor, 7 attending doctors, and 4 residents, 6 of them with doctor’s degree and 8 with master’s degree. We have 18 special nurses of dialysis with technical degrees. We have outpatient clinics, the renal ward, the blood purification center, equipped with appropriately adjusted staff, forming a united team with reasonable academic attitude.
We have prioritized patients’ needs as our working aim, and have done our best to insure the safety, efficacy and the promptness of therapy for our patients.
Our specialty includes primary and secondary renal diseases: chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, chronic renal failure and related complications (metabolic bone disease), rapid progressive glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, urinary infection, lupus nephritis, renal atherosclerosis, contrast agent nephropathy.
With the use of phase contrast microscopy, ultrasound guiding kidney biopsy, the accuracy of diagnosis of glomerular disease has increased. Other technology, such as test of urine enzymes, bacteriology, serum immunological screen, radiological isotope labeled glomerular filtration rate test, dual energy X-ray absorptiometry bone mineral density, QCT, cytokines and biological osseous markers, etc. improved the diagnosis of renal tubular disease, secondary glomerular disease and renal bone disease.
The blood purification center was established in 1984, earlier than several peer hospitals. During forty years’ practice, a professional team has been set up. Until nowadays, the high year attending doctor ward rotation routine and the high quality of special nurses insure a safe, efficacious and highly qualified therapy system.
Our blood purification centre offer multiple blood purification therapy, such as regular hemodialysis, on-line hemodialysis-filtration, hemo-perfusion, high volume dialysis, CRRT, plasma exchange, and plasma absorption. The water quality is insured by two step reverse osmosis water processing system and the dialysate is supplied through a centralized closed circulation system. The centre is fully equipped with all sorts of life-saving apparatus, from the monitor of vital indexes, to breathing machine, defibrillator, etc. to insure our patients’ safety. Highly individualized therapy plans corresponding to patients’ condition, proficient puncture skills and machine operation have served the chronic renal failure patients with highly qualified therapy and sufficed to treat those with acute kidney injury secondary to trauma, burn, hemolysis, drug poisoning, and heart failure.
With core idea of serving the patients, rest-room, clothes locker, micro wave oven as well as a cozy neat environment are offered for our patients’ convenience. The patients in the out patients department receive regular consultations, for those with complications, we would contact with corresponding specialist to help solve their problem.
