Beijing Jishuitan Hospital emergency department was established in July 2002, as an independent two subjects. In the same year, the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau approved the establishment of the trauma and burn rescue center of Beijing City. The emergency department of Xinjiekou branch hospital covers construction area of 3987 square meters, and involves: department of emergency internal medicine, general surgery, neurosurgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, stomatology, otorhinolaryngology, trauma orthopedics pediatric orthopedic, hand surgery, Spinal surgery and department of burn. The emergency building has three floors. On the first floor, there are four orthopedic consulting rooms and a perfect function of large-scale rescue room, the inner placed 4 multifunctional rescue beds. The second floor is equipped with an intensive care unit (ICU), 6 emergency wards, 20 fixed beds and 40 temporary transfusion chairs. Each of the 6 ICU beds was equipped with central monitoring system and Philips monitor. On the third floor, there’re three fully functional ten thousand level laminar flow purification operation rooms and 3 general operation rooms. At the same time, emergency building is also provided with a department of Radiology, laboratory and pharmacy. In November 2013, the emergency department of Huilongguan branch Hospital also officially put into use, which covers the construction area of 1572 square meters, with 4 rescue beds, one ICU, 8 ICU beds, 4 emergency wards, 13 fixed beds, 40 temporary infusion chairs, equipped with monitors, ventilators, PiCCO system ，bedside B ultrasound equipment etc.
