From then on, academician Wu Jieping, the founder of Urology in modern China, gave guidance weekly that greatly promoted the development of the department. Through half a century of hard work , following the philosophy of “ pefecand under the chairmanship of professor Man Libo，the department of Urology, which now is the training center for residents in Beijing and the clinical teaching base for Peking and Tsinghua University, with a high-quality discipline team, professional technologies and the advanced equipments, has developed to be a comprehensive department integrating clinics, research and teaching as an organic whole, which has been in a leading position in domestic medical realm.
