The Nuclear Medicine Department of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital is one of the earliest established nuclear medicine of Beijing, and we earned the first gamma camera in Beijing. Existing imaging equipment is a coincidence detection circuit SPECT/CT, with the function of CT positioning, attenuation correction and image fusion. It can finish both SPECT/CT and economical PET/CT imaging. Our department has achieved the permission of PET/CT in early 2015. After place remould and equipment allocation, it will play more powerful role in the field of tumor diagnosis and molecular imaging, and it will provide more advanced and quality diagnosis and treatment methods for numerous tumor patients, especially for patients with bone and soft tissue tumor in our hospital.
The main diagnostic and treatment items include the whole body bone scan and three-phased bone imaging to diagnose bone tumor and benign bone disease, the myocardial perfusion imaging to evaluate cardiovascular diseases, the lung perfusion imaging and lower extremities phlebography to diagnose acute pulmonary embolism, the nephro-dynamic imaging to observe double kidney blood flow and determine kidney function and urinary obstruction as well as the nuclear medicine image check of the nervous, endocrine and digestive systems and FDG tumor functional metabolism imaging; and nuclide skeletal system treatment.
Working characteristics: Our nuclear medicine department is professional in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of variety of benign and malignant bone tumors, metabolic bone disease, osteoporosis and pathological bone fracture. We are also skilled in using 89SrCl2 to treat metastatic bone tumors.
Teaching work: The department has undertaken the clinical teaching tasks of the Medicine College of Peking University for over 20 years, for about 30 class-hours each year. We have trained many excellent doctors for the clinical medical college of Peking University. Our faculty has also been rated as excellent teacher repeatedly.
Researching work: We emphasis on clinical research, tracking advanced development trend at home and abroad. We won the Beijing science and technology progress prize in 1998 (97west-3-10-02). In recent years, we published many academic theses and two monographs and translation.
