C) Training Facilities

1) Hospital Library
The library of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital was established in 1956. From then on, we have focused on collections of orthopedics and burn literatures. Now Chinese and foreign language collections are more than 30,000 volumes. Foreign medical journals are more than 150 species and Chinese medical journals are more than 270 species, including nearly 182 orthopedic and burn species. Every year we receive 10,000 users and opening hours are more than 3,000. In August 2002,we established” electronic teaching centers of 4th clinical hospital” to provide readers with medical information retrieval. In the library there are reading and computer rooms.

2) Orthopaedic training center

Orthopaedic training center was established in 2001 which is the only one in Beijing territory. In this center there is a workshop where trainees can have hand-on orthopaedic training, a lecture hall where interdepartmental and invited lectures are held.

Each subspecialty department has a small library.

6) Auditorium for clinical conference

In the administrative building there is an auditorium which can hold 200 persons.
